Satellite IoT Solutions

Extend your IoT services beyond terrestrial coverage with a practical satellite IoT solution for new and existing LoRaWAN® deployments.

The ECS satellite relay enables real-time, bi-directional communication in hard-to-reach areas. Multiple compatible devices can share a single satellite connection, removing the need for satellite capability at every endpoint.

  • Extend LoRaWAN® beyond terrestrial reach

  • Real-time bi-directional connectivity

  • Add satellite without redesigning endpoints

Built for long-term remote deployment

The ECS satellite relay is designed for remote IoT environments where reliable connectivity needs to operate with minimal intervention in the field.

Low-power by design

Battery operation can support deployments lasting up to 10 years, with solar power available for longer-term use.

Simple to deploy and manage

Designed for straightforward installation and operation, the relay can be configured remotely through the network server once deployed.

Secure in both directions

Encrypted communication protects messages moving between connected devices and the wider network.

How ECS connects remote IoT

ECS satellite IoT creates a satellite path between remote LoRaWAN® devices and the IoT platforms already supporting the deployment.

Built to integrate with your IoT ecosystem

ECS is designed to connect into the infrastructure and platforms already supporting your IoT service, so the satellite layer can be added without creating a separate operational environment.

Third-party LoRaWAN® devices

Supports compatible sensors and endpoints across new and existing deployments in the field over standard ISM-band connectivity.

APIs and connectors

Connects ECS network services into your current systems through supported interfaces, including MQTT-based connectivity.

IoT platforms and applications

Delivers device data into the platforms and application servers used to operate your IoT service.

Building towards broader satellite IoT coverage

ECS uses licensed C-band GEO satellite connectivity to support remote IoT today, with a network strategy designed to expand across additional satellite technologies.

By combining ECS infrastructure with selected partner networks, we can adapt to local spectrum and regulatory requirements while broadening the reach of the service.

Why work with ECS for satellite IoT?

ECS combines satellite infrastructure with IoT network expertise, helping solution providers add satellite connectivity without taking on the complexity of building and managing the network layer themselves.

Satellite and IoT expertise

Draw on extensive experience across satellite operations and IoT network development.

End-to-end network management

Reduce operational complexity with ECS managing the satellite connectivity and supporting network infrastructure.

Satellite infrastructure to support wider reach

Extend service availability through ECS ground infrastructure and selected partner networks.

Affordability

Keep satellite IoT commercially viable with a service designed around cost-effective connectivity and deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does pricing work?

ECS GSaaS is pay-as-you-go, with subscription options available for frequent users. You’re billed based on your actual usage each month.

Is there a minimum contract term?

No. ECS GSaaS has no minimum term, so you can scale usage up or down as your mission requires.

Which satellite bands does ECS support?

ECS ground stations support S, X, C, Ku, and Ka bands, with multi-orbit compatibility across LEO, MEO, and GEO.

Where can data be delivered?

Data is routed to your chosen destination, including major cloud platforms or your own on-site environment.

Do I need my own ground infrastructure to use ECS?

No. ECS provides the ground segment, so you can access satellite data without building or maintaining your own antennas.
